For the sixth consecutive year, Inspired Entertainment, Inc. will produce the Virtual Grand National (VGN) race and Virtual Grand National Race of Champions, kicking off the excitement of the 2022 Grand National Festival.

The two virtual races, developed in conjunction with Carm Productions, will delight viewers again the day before the one of the most famous race of all time. The Virtual Grand National brings to life the actual 40 horses and riders, in an attempt to predict the outcome of the 2022 Grand National. The Virtual Grand National Race of Champions tests previous winners and other legendary horses as they run against each other.

Arkle, an Irish Grand National, three-time Cheltenham Gold Cup winner and one of the greatest steeplechasers in horse racing history, will make his debut in Inspired’s Virtual Grand National Race of Champions. Arkle will join National Hunt legends such as Desert Orchid, Dawn Run, Tiger Roll, and Kauto Star as they compete against twenty Grand National winners, led by the legendary Red Rum.

“I’m delighted to announce the return of Inspired’s Virtual Grand National races as a curtain-raiser for one of the world’s greatest horse races,” said Brooks Pierce, President and Chief Operating Officer of Inspired. “We have gained worldwide recognition for our virtual events, and the Virtual Grand National races are truly a unique product. Once again, they will add a compelling experience to our customers’ retail and digital channels in advance of the year’s highest-profile horse race.”

“The technology we use to produce the Virtual Grand National races is a unique predictive offering that can be applied to many other sports events,” said Steve Rogers, Chief Commercial Officer, Virtual Sports for Inspired. “Our software uses a vast array of data points, including historical performance of participants, to make predictions about who will win the 2022 Grand National, widely considered to be one of the most unpredictable events in the world.”

“We are delighted to be working with Inspired on the Virtual Grand National races for a sixth consecutive year,” said Carm Productions’ Rob McLoughlin, OBE, who devised the TV format for UK and international broadcasters. “The realism and quality of graphics in Inspired’s Virtual Grand National races deliver a premium experience, and I have no doubt that viewers will be thrilled with the opportunity to watch Arkle make his debut in the Virtual Grand National Race of Champions.”

In association with the Jockey Club, Inspired’s Virtual Grand National special will be broadcasted on ITV4 Friday, April 8th, 2022, at 9:15 pm (GMT) and again on April 9th at 1:00pm (GMT).

As the Sunday Moneymaker tourney approaches its one-year anniversary this summer, ACR Poker is launching a month-long pre-celebration this May with the Moneymaker May-Hem. This promo gives players a chance to join the 2003 WSOP Main Event Champion and poker legend Chris Moneymaker for a once-in-a-lifetime VIP experience during the Main Event of Vegas’ hottest summer series.

Throughout the month of May, every player who plays a $109 buy-in Sunday Moneymaker on ACR Poker and reaches a final table in any of the weekly events will earn a spot in a Final Sit & Go Showdown on Sunday, June 1st at 4pm ET.

The Final Sit & Go winner will receive a VIP package complete with a $10,000 buy-in to the Vegas Main Event, $5,000 cash for travel and other expenses, and the chance to meet Chris Moneymaker in Las Vegas. Second and third place finishers will receive $109 Sunday Moneymaker Tickets.

“The Sunday Moneymaker has become something really special, and it’s been incredible to watch it grow since we launched it last year,” said Moneymaker. “This May promo is a huge thank you to our community and every player who’s been part of this ride. I’m looking forward to welcoming the winner in Vegas, talking strategy, and hopefully celebrating a deep run in the Main Event together.”

The Sunday Moneymaker,  which launched in July 2024 to honor ACR Pro and poker icon Chris Moneymaker, has quickly grown into one of ACR Poker’s weekly signature events. Since its debut, the Sunday Moneymaker has already attracted over 78,000 entrants and awarded more than $13 million in total prize money. The tournament features a $300,000 guarantee every Sunday, with a $400,000 prize pool on the final Sunday of each month.

Moneymaker noted that players can also qualify for each Sunday Moneymaker through ACR Poker’s satellites in the hours before every tournament, with paths starting at freerolls ($0), Micro Hyper Sats ($1.05, $2.10), and Mega Satellites ($11, $22) offering guaranteed $109 seats.

For poker players looking to follow the action, the Final Sit & Go Showdown will be live-streamed on ACR’s Twitch channel on Sunday, June 1st.
