SOFTSWISS, a global tech company and leading provider of software solutions for the iGaming industry, announces that its Deputy Chief Technology Officer, Sergey Kastukevich, has been named CTO of the Year in EMEA at the 2025 Oracle Excellence Awards.

The Oracle Excellence Awards, organised by Oracle, the world’s second-largest software developer after Microsoft and the fourth-largest IT company globally, celebrate the best in business innovation.

The Award recognises Kastukevich as a CTO who strategically utilises emerging technologies to advance SOFTSWISS’ objectives, such as reducing operational costs, enhancing system stability, and developing transformative products that benefit both the company and the broader iGaming industry. With over 15 years of expertise, SOFTSWISS delivers high-performance, secure, and scalable platforms supporting more than 1,200 brands worldwide.

Past winners include Vodafone, Shiseido Company Limited, PayPal (NA), and other global enterprises.

Sergey Kastukevich on receiving the Award: “We take pride in our successful collaboration with Oracle OCI, which allows us to implement innovative projects with high reliability and security.

SOFTSWISS leverages a comprehensive suite of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services to ensure performance, scalability, and security across its operations”.

Among these services is OKE (Oracle Kubernetes Engine), which provides the scalability and flexibility needed for deploying containerised applications. To support critical workloads, SOFTSWISS uses high-performance VM Instances, delivering the necessary power for demanding tasks.

For secure and scalable data handling, Object Storage ensures reliable storage and fast access to essential information. The company also relies on Cloud Guard for continuous monitoring and automated threat response, maintaining a high level of protection for its cloud resources.

In managing and deploying containerised applications, SOFTSWISS benefits from a centralised Container Image Hub, simplifying the application lifecycle management. Lastly, using IAM (Identity and Access Management), the company enforces strict access controls, ensuring robust security at every level of the infrastructure.

“Thanks to these tools, our collaboration with Oracle OCI allows us to build highly available and scalable solutions that meet the highest security and efficiency standards. We are confident that the joint use of cloud technologies fosters the development of innovative projects and the optimisation of our clients’ business processes,” continued S. Kastukevich.

Sergey joined SOFTSWISS as Deputy CTO in 2020 and has since played a key role in expanding the tech team, establishing strong internal processes, and shaping the company’s long-term technological vision. He focuses not only on solving complex engineering challenges but also on supporting people, building scalable systems, and empowering top talent to thrive.

Recognition at this prestigious Award in a region where SOFTSWISS conducts business is a significant achievement and a testament to the company’s leadership.

The SOFTSWISS team will be available to discuss technology solutions for the iGaming business at SiGMA Americas in São Paulo, Brazil, from 7 to 10 April.

In the high-stakes world of iGaming, where innovation is the currency of success, ProgressPlay has once again proven its mastery, not once, but twice. The news has rippled through the industry like an electric current: ProgressPlay has been shortlisted for the prestigious EGR Awards 2025 in not one, but two fiercely competitive categories; Bingo Supplier of the Year and White Label Partner of the Year.

This double honour isn’t just a nod to outstanding technology; it’s a resounding endorsement of their core philosophy; that the future of iGaming belongs to those who empower operators, delight players, and push boundaries without compromise.  These nominations follow hot-on-the-heels of a shortlist spot for “Industry Innovation of the Year” at the SBC Awards Europe 2025.

The journey to this moment began with a bold vision: to reinvent bingo for the modern era, having already established a significant position in the international white-label market with over a decade of success.

While others treated it as a legacy vertical, ProgressPlay saw untapped potential in bingo, a game steeped in community, ripe for innovation. The new bingo platform wasn’t just built; it was engineered to breathe new life into the category.

With data-driven player engagement tools, dynamic jackpot mechanics, and seamless mobile-first design, ProgressPlay transformed bingo from a nostalgic pastime into a growth engine for operators. The EGR shortlist is validation that the dynamic company didn’t just evolve bingo; it redefined it.

In a matter of weeks, ProgressPlay launched over 130 new bingo sites for operators in the UK market alone, showing that immaculate product development and rapid deployment go hand-in-hand.

But the story doesn’t end there. ProgressPlay’s White Label Partner nomination is where strategy meets scale. In an industry crowded with cookie-cutter solutions, ProgressPlay chose a different path, a partnership model that puts operators in the driver’s seat. From customisable loyalty programs to real-time revenue analytics, their white-label standalone platform became the launchpad for ambitious brands to carve their niche.

Marina Nahhas, Head of B2B Sales and Marketing, says: “Our team is delighted that the EGR Awards have recognised that at the heart of ProgressPlay’s standalone technology is its unparalleled flexibility. Unlike traditional white-label offerings, this standalone platform is a true turnkey solution, allowing operators to craft their own brand identity, select their preferred gaming content, and integrate the most effective payment methods suited to their target audience.”

Behind these accolades lies something deeper, a culture of relentless iteration. Where others see awards, the team at ProgressPlay see milestones in an ongoing mission. Every line of code, every partner success story, every late-night breakthrough has led here.

This ability to fine-tune every aspect of the standalone platform ensures that businesses remain ahead of the curve, delivering experiences that resonate deeply with local players while maintaining a globally competitive edge.

ProgressPlay CEO Itai Lowenstein said: “To our team, partners, and players, this latest double-shortlist is your triumph. But this isn’t a finale; it’s a catalyst. As we prepare for the EGR Awards ceremony, we’re already blueprinting the next leap forward, because in iGaming, standing still is the only true failure. Let’s make it just the beginning.”

Omnigame, the full-service iGaming business, is celebrating industry recognition after being awarded Gaming Mechanic/Feature of the Year at the SBC Awards Europe.

Hosted at the Hilton Malta, the awards recognised the achievements of the very best operators, affiliates, suppliers, payment providers, and game developers across the European betting and gaming industry.

Omnigame’s creative twist on traditional slot machines, its ‘Wheels of Reels’ mechanic, incorporates ‘wheels’ of differing lengths rather than the traditional rectangular matrix. The innovative spinning mechanic provided a new approach to slot gaming, allowing Omnigame to stand apart from its competition in the category.

The creativity of the mechanic has seen Stream of Luck become one of the most popular games in the Omnigame portfolio.

Peter Weinreich, CEO of Omnigame, said: “Receiving the award that highlights the innovative nature of our ‘Wheels of Reels’ mechanic at the SBC Awards Europe is a massive credit to the whole team at Omnigame. We are incredibly proud of our achievement, which has provided a fresh take on the traditional slot experience.

“We have worked hard to provide exciting games to players, and this recognition of our innovative approach is a fantastic moment for us.”
