Elantil names Nadiya Attard as Chief Commercial Officer
Revolutionary new online casino platform solutions provider appoints Relax Gaming, NetEnt and Betfair commercial executive to strengthen its all-star C-level team
Elantil, the up-and-coming online casino platform solutions provider founded by iGaming veteran, Jonathan Gauci, has announced it has installed another cornerstone of its C-level line-up with the appointment of Nadiya Attard as the group’s new Chief Commercial Officer.
Having set out on a mission to leverage Gauci’s 22+ years of industry expertise, Elantil is committed to creating a new kind of platform that puts control back in the hands of the operator. The company has promised to pull out all the stops in assembling an all-star team of iGaming executives. The announcement of Nadiya Attard, a business leader and industry innovator of her caliber, is certainly a step in the right direction. With her proven track record of exceeding targets and driving revenue growth, she’s a great addition to the team.
With over 20 years of iGaming experience covering both B2C and B2B, Nadiya Attard’s glittering career has seen her hold key positions at some of the industry’s major players, including Betfair, Microgaming, NetEnt, and – most recently – Relax Gaming. Throughout her career, she has built successful, high-performing commercial teams and played a key role in scaling businesses. At NetEnt, she helped grow the company from 300 to 1,000 employees, while at Relax Gaming, she was instrumental in transforming a startup into a Tier 1 supplier. Her wealth of knowledge and proven ability to drive growth will be invaluable as Elantil establishes itself in the marketplace.
Nadiya Attard also has fantastic experience expanding the market presence of her previous companies, thanks to her deep knowledge of all major regulated markets, including the U.S. This makes her a key player in helping Elantil operators achieve seamless market entry, a cornerstone of the company’s innovative approach.
As someone who has also run the rule over countless iGaming companies in her capacity as a returning judge for the EGR Awards, Nadiya Attard definitely knows a thing or two about what goes into making a successful product – and it’s this type of industry-wide insight in addition to her considerable commercial and biz dev expertise that makes her such a perfect fit for the position.
Moving forward, Attard will be responsible for planning and implementing Elantil’s overall commercial and marketing strategy, building a great team of professionals, while also ensuring the business meets key performance objectives and hits customer satisfaction targets – and with the company having only officially launched earlier this month, it’s an incredibly exciting challenge that she’s clearly looking forward to getting started on.
Nadiya Attard, Chief Commercial Officer at Elantil, said: “Having worked in iGaming for over two decades and held positions at many of the industry’s major players, I find myself in the fortunate position of knowing exactly what goes into making an online casino platform successful. What excites me even more is the opportunity to work with companies that bring something truly innovative to the market. Elantil is doing just that, with a unique product that not only helps customers save costs but also drives high revenues. I’m thrilled to now have the chance to showcase this knowledge and passion in my new role as CCO at Elantil.
“Having spoken to Jonathan about his vision for the company and seen the product in action, I believe Elantil has the potential to offer something completely unique to operators and I’m very excited to be getting in on the ground floor as we continue to build what will be an all-star team!”
Jonathan Gauci, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Elantil, said: “One of the driving factors for me starting Elantil was wanting to create a brand that does things the right way in terms of both its product and its people – and a huge part of that is having the right C-level team in place.
“Given we’re building the company from the ground up, this puts us in a great position where we can hand-pick the people that really represent our brand and values; and Nadiya certainly does just that. I’m very happy to be working with her on what will be a really exciting venture and believe her skill-set and in-depth knowledge of the industry will prove invaluable to Elantil going forward.”

Fennica Gaming has announced that it has been granted a gaming supplier license in Ontario, Canada. This milestone marks a significant step in the company’s expansion strategy, allowing it to offer its cutting-edge gaming experiences to gaming operators in one of North America’s most dynamic regulated markets. The supplier license, granted by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), enables Fennica Gaming to introduce its portfolio of entertaining and high-quality games to gaming operators across the province. This registration empowers Ontarian operators, whether online or land-based, to access the omnichannel offerings developed in the Nordics.
PrizePicks announced it has received Internet Compliance Assessment Programme (iCAP) accreditation from the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG). PrizePicks is the first and only fantasy sports operator to receive the recognition. iCAP certification is granted to operators that meet the NCPG’s high standards for responsible gaming and consumer protection practices. Developed by the NCPG, iCAP is the leading online responsible gaming assessment Programme in the US. The rigorous certification process involves an independent, comprehensive review of an operator’s responsible gaming policies and practices, spanning Know Your Customer (KYC) protocols, staff training programmes, work culture, consumer protection measures, RG tool offerings, customer service standards and regulatory compliance.
The Public Health Advocacy Institute (PHAI) at Northeastern University School of Law supports Congressman Paul D. Tonko (NY-20) and Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) as they reintroduced the SAFE Bet Act, which addresses the risks associated with legalised gambling. As of 2025, 39 states and the District of Columbia have legalised sports betting, but the necessary safeguards are not in place to address the public health risks that legalising sports betting creates. The SAFE Bet Act, first introduced in September 2024, addresses those public health concerns. The SAFE Bet Act establishes federal standards while preserving the opportunity for anyone who wishes to participate in legal sports betting. These standards will address advertising, affordability and artificial intelligence issues.
Partnerships
The NCAA and EPIC Global Solutions announced an extension of their gambling harm education programme collaboration. This extended collaboration reinforces the NCAA’s long-standing commitment to protecting student-athlete well-being and the integrity of college athletics. Educating student-athletes on the dangers of sports betting continues to be a key priority for the Association. EPIC’s sessions have been a crucial piece of this education since January 2022. The NCAA and EPIC Global Solutions have partnered to educate over 80,000 student-athletes through in-person, experiential sessions at more than 270 campuses nationwide across all three divisions, making it the largest programme of its kind globally.
SCCG Management has announced a strategic partnership with Boosted Bets. This collaboration will focus on business development, capital-raising support, and global distribution, connecting Boosted Bets with strategic partners across SCCG’s ecosystem, including sportsbook platforms, operators, data providers, CRM and gamification partners. Boosted Bets introduces a new way for sports bettors to prove their skills through a contest-based wagering model. Players enter a paid challenge, receiving a simulated betting account with a larger bankroll—giving them the ability to place bets as if they were high-stakes bettors.

Check Before You Bet – Play Responsibly Ahead of March Madness

On Sunday, March 16, 2025, the 2025 March Madness tournament begins with Selection Sunday at 6 p.m. ET on CBS. March Madness is the coined name for the NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament, a single-elimination tournament of 68 teams that compete in seven rounds for the national championship. The penultimate (second to last) round is known as the Final Four, where only 4 teams remain.
Check out the full schedule below:
- Selection Sunday: 6 p.m. ET Sunday, March 16 on CBS
- First Four: March 18-19
- First round: March 20-21
- Second round: March 22-23
- Sweet 16: March 27-28
- Elite Eight: March 29-30
- Final Four: April 5 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas
- NCAA championship game: April 7 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas
With March Madness being one of the most anticipated, watched, and wagered-on events in all of sports, the Arizona Department of Gaming (“ADG”) is reminding Arizona residents and visitors to remember to play smart and bet responsibly, remaining within the bounds of the law.
“Every year, March Madness continues to rank among the top sporting events to wager on nationally, as excitement and anxiety builds as fans watch to see if their team will make it to the Final Four,” said Jackie Johnson, ADG Director. “The Department wants to use this opportunity as a chance to remind and encourage Arizona residents, as well as our springtime visitors, to make sure they are enjoying the games responsibly. Protect your bet and ensure your wagers are placed legally and thoughtfully this March.”
Sports Pools – Know What Rules to Follow
In the United States, it is common to see friends, families, and colleagues participate in sports pools for March Madness. These pools are legal as long as the state’s social gambling rules are followed. According to Arizona Law (A.R.S. § 13-3301(9)), social gambling requires:
- That gambling cannot be conducted as business, which means that hosts cannot receive financial benefit, unless they are participating in the game;
- Hosts pay out all pool money to the winner(s);
- Only participants can win; and
- Players compete on equal terms with each other.
A few things to be on the lookout for that indicate illegal gambling:
- Paying a fee to participate, including “suggested” or “voluntary” donations.
- A host who keeps a percentage of the pool for administering the game.
- A required minimum purchase to participate (food or beverage, etc.).
- Unequal odds.
- Underage participants (under 21 years of age).
ADG takes complaints about illegal gambling seriously. To report suspected illegal gambling activity, visit our website at gaming.az.gov/about/contact-us, call (602) 255-3886, or email [email protected]. You can remain anonymous.
Responsible Betting – What to Keep in Mind
With sports betting legal in the state, it has become increasingly important to educate yourself on how you can bet responsibly. Listed below are some helpful tips as part of the American Gaming Association’s (AGA)
Have A Game Plan.® Bet Responsibly. campaign:
- Set a Budget – It is crucial to keep in mind that everyone will have different budgets; never bet beyond your own means. Be cautious and make sure you set a limit – and stick to it – if you plan on wagering. More information on how to responsibly set a budget for wagering can be found on the AGA’s Have A Game Plan website: How Much Should I Wager?
- Know the Odds – There are plenty of key terms everyone should know when making a sports bet. What’s a parlay? Over/under? Moneyline? If you decide to wager, make sure you are briefed on The Basics of Sports Betting.
- Keep it Social – Whenever gambling, be mindful that all forms of gambling are for the purpose of entertainment. This is not a way to make money. By gaming with friends, family, and colleagues, you can keep playing responsibly and have fun.
- Keep Your Cool – No one’s perfect, and in sports, winning and losing are all part of the game. Whether you’re wagering from the sidelines or watching from home, remember to keep your cool. Good sportsmanship isn’t just for the players on the field; it’s for everyone.
- Play Legally – Legal operators provide important player protections that are not found in the illegal market. Whether you are placing a wager on your phone or at a physical sportsbook, make sure you are using a legal operator in the state. Visit the ADG website to view a full list of the state’s approved operators and retail locations: Approved Operators.
You can view more information on how to bet responsibly by visiting haveagameplan.org. In recognition of Problem Gambling Awareness Month (“PGAM”), the Department wants to remind Arizonans that if you or someone you know has a gambling problem, the Division of Problem Gambling (“DPG”) urges you to get help now by calling 1-800-NEXT STEP (1.800.639.8783), DPG’s confidential helpline, texting “NEXTSTEP” to 53342, or utilizing a chat feature on the DPG website. DPG’s helpline provides confidentiality and connects callers with a master’s level counselor who can connect them with available resources, including statewide treatment providers who specialize in problem gambling.
The helpline is available 24/7 to everyone facing a problem with gambling – individuals and affected family members, friends, or co-workers. Learn more and access resources at problemgambling.az.gov. Additionally, the ADG published a press release on March 3 recognizing PGAM.
Please view the press release by visiting our website’s Media Room, as well as DPG’s PGAM toolkit for more information.
