Dr. Dorian Freudenreich is the new Vice President Business LOTTO24 and thus responsible for the entire lottery brokerage business of the ZEAL group in Germany. Freudenreich reports directly to ZEAL CEO Helmut Becker. In his position, he will be responsible for the operational management and financial performance of the two end customer brands LOTTO24 and Tipp24 as well as their strategic development. Freudenreich will also become a member of the Management Board of LOTTO24 AG with effect from 1 January 2025.

With Freudenreich, ZEAL has hired a founder and e-commerce expert with many years of experience. Before joining ZEAL, Freudenreich was head of German sales and data management at the pan-European online pharmacy Atida. Prior to that, he founded and managed the start-up Apparently Different. After completing his doctorate, Freudenreich began his career as a management consultant at McKinsey.

“I am grateful for ZEAL’s trust and am looking forward to the challenge,” says Dorian Freudenreich. “Lottery brokerage in Germany is by far ZEAL’s most important business segment. LOTTO24 and Tipp24 are two strong end customer brands with a lot of potential for further growth. My focus will be on continuously developing the performance of the business of both brands together with the team and promoting strategic potential in lottery brokerage in Germany.”

LeoVegas launches sportsbook in Germany and strengthens the foothold in the market

LeoVegas Group has launched its sportsbook offering in the growing German market, in addition to its popular virtual slot machines vertical. Following the gaming license granted last year, the Group introduced virtual slot machines on LeoVegas.de in one of Europe’s largest igaming markets. The new sportsbook offering will be available across all sixteen German states, strengthening the foothold in Germany. A nationwide marketing campaign will launch in December to celebrate thrill seeking adventures in everyday life. 

LeoVegas Group has launched its sportsbook vertical on the popular brand LeoVegas.de. In recent years, the German igaming market has developed into potentially one of Europe’s largest, and this new addition to the brand will attract sports fans across all sixteen German states, subsequently expanding the existing customer base. Until now, LeoVegas Group has only offered virtual slot machines in Germany, following the gaming license granted last year. In conjunction with the sportsbook launch, a nationwide marketing campaign titled “Thrill Seeker” will premiere across channels such as TV, programmatic, and affiliates. The campaign will humorously showcase how to add excitement and unexpected twists to the monotony of everyday life.
