me88 signs a compelling brand ambassador agreement with MMA’s biggest star, Conor McGregor
Asia’s leading online betting platform, me88, is set to make an impact with Irish professional mixed martial artist fighter and former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) double-champion, Conor McGregor, who will be representing the brand as official Brand Ambassador in Southeast Asia (SEA).
Conor McGregor, also known as ‘The Notorious,’ is the first UFC fighter to hold titles in two weight divisions simultaneously and is undeniably one of the most decorated fighters in UFC history. Best-known for his boxing prowess and a mean pull-back left-handed counter, Conor’s victories come by way of spectacular knockouts that not only sealed him as a formidable opponent, but also an incredible draw to fans of the sport. Five of the top six highest selling pay-per-view events were headlined by Conor, who also fought in the biggest fight in combat sports history against Floyd Mayweather in 2017. Conor is also a keen businessman, having co-founded Irish whiskey distiller, Proper No. 12 in 2018 alongside other ventures.
The illustrious athlete will collaborate with me88 to promote the brand across SEA and engage in various digital marketing activities to increase brand awareness throughout the region. This agreement also represents me88’s intention to strengthen its position as Asia’s most trusted online betting platform, hence the tagline “play safe play me”, as well as their commitment to providing the best in terms of quality, choice, and security to Asian sports fans.
Conor McGregor said: “It is an honor to join fists with me88 to help them expand their brand in Southeast Asia. I am very excited to be a part of more of their marketing initiatives as a brand ambassador, as well as to interact with more sports fans in the region and share my experience and knowledge in the field.”
me88’s spokesperson, James Snider, said: “me88 is dedicated to being a reliable destination platform that serves the best variety of options for our members. Our tagline “play safe play me” exists for this very reason. We are excited to work closely with Conor McGregor, with his dynamic presence as a fighter and personality and are looking forward to collaborating with him to engage more fight enthusiasts in the region on our platform.”
This ambassadorship was done in partnership with leading global sports and entertainment agency and Conor McGregor’s talent management team, Paradigm Sports, along with Outlast Sports Entertainment, for me88.
“We are thrilled to have played an integral part in connecting one of Asia’s biggest online gaming platforms with Conor McGregor, a prominent and revered figure in fight sports. We are certain that this partnership has the dynamics to bring about great results and bigger opportunities for the region,” said Outlast Sports CEO, Salauddin Sinnakandu.

Macau Government Extends Lottery Concession of Macau Slot Until 5 June 2026

The Macau government has extended the lottery concession of Macau Slot Co Ltd for one year until 5 June 2026.
The concession renewal was published in the official gazette on Wednesday. Further extensions may be granted, subject to mutual agreement between the Macau government and Macau Slot.
As part of the renewal terms, Macau Slot is required to gradually reduce its number of non-resident employees and actively collaborate with the government to recruit and retain local talent.
Earlier this month, the government held a meeting with Macau Slot representatives to discuss the extension. According to the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ), the city’s industry regulator, Macau Slot committed to cutting 35% of its non-local, non-skilled workforce—equivalent to 26 positions—by the first quarter of 2026. The company also pledged to make further reductions to its foreign labour quota in the future. Currently, non-local staff account for 15% of the total workforce at Macau Slot.
“Over the past year, despite fluctuations in the macroeconomic environment and slower economic recovery in neighbouring regions, the local economy has remained relatively stable under the guidance of the Macau SAR government’s policies,” Macau Slot said in a statement.
“Looking ahead, we are committed to further diversifying our sports betting products to meet customer demand, while upgrading our information technology infrastructure to stay current and deliver more comprehensive sports betting services.”
