In-demand software provider to roll out Dutch speaking branded roulette, blackjack and baccarat tables at leading Dutch betting site

Following the phenomenal success of Stakelogic slots at Dutch online betting platform, BetCity.nl, the two titans of the igaming industry have announced they are extending their partnership with the launch of Stakelogic Live’s full suite of Dutch speaking, immersive dealer-dealt games.

The new agreement will see Stakelogic Live’s recently-established live division provide a number of roulette, auto-roulette, blackjack and baccarat titles to the Amsterdam-based operator, including exclusively Dutch branded tables that will celebrate the pair’s collaboration by displaying the BetCity.nl logo.

With Stakelogic having first joined forces with BetCity.nl in September 2021, the sought-after software provider initially made its impressive catalogue of feature-packed video slots and classic games available to players in the Dutch market. However, with its live studio launching a month later, both parties felt it was time to double down on the deal and bring Stakelogic Live Dutch content to the table as well.

All Stakelogic Live games are designed and developed in-house and are streamed using high-definition cameras, powerful microphones and the latest broadcast technology to provide a superior playing experience. Tables are set in front of a glamorous casino backdrop and use highly-trained professional dealers who know their games inside out and interact with players to guide them through the action.
BetCity.nl, meanwhile, is primarily known as one of the most established online sportsbooks in the Netherlands. As of last year, the operator decided to extend its product offering to include casino games and selected Stakelogic as one of the main brands to spearhead this expansion.

The decision proved to be a rip-roaring success, with Stakelogic slots becoming incredibly popular with players transitioning from BetCity.nl’s sportsbook to its online casino. Having now witnessed this huge appetite for casino games among its player base, BetCity.nl has turned its attentions to developing a strong Dutch live casino offering and understandably wants to again make Stakelogic Live a part of its plans.
If the previous success of Stakelogic titles at BetCity.nl is anything to go by, the decision will again prove beneficial for both parties, with Stakelogic Live able to strengthen its presence in the Dutch market while BetCity continues to enhance its credentials as a top destination for online casino games.

Stephan van den Oetelaar, CEO at Stakelogic, said: “Having already successfully launched Stakelogic slots at BetCity.nl in 2021, we’re delighted to double down on our deal and make the full suite of Stakelogic Live games available to Dutch players as well.
“With a range of upcoming Dutch speaking branded tables designed specifically for BetCity.nl, we’re sure these immersive live dealer games will prove every bit as popular with players as our slots have done and that the new deal will strengthen BetCity’s position as one of the market’s top providers of quality live casino games.”

As the UK Gambling Commission announces the launch of its consultation on proposed new rules for gaming machines, Nick Arron, lead partner for the Gambling Team at Poppleston Allen urges stakeholders to ensure they are heard

The UK Gambling Commission this week announced the launch of a 16-week consultation, seeking input on proposed new rules for gaming machines in retail venues.

The consultation focuses on technical standards and related testing strategy and aims to improve consumer protection through a number of proposed changes. The consultation is due to end on May 20.

Nick Arron, lead partner for the Betting and Gambling Team at Poppleston Allen, encouraged stakeholders such as operators and licensees to have their say on what impact these proposed changes will have, including the potential costs.

He said: “Robust stakeholder engagement is an important part of this progress. It’s important that operators have their say so that the regulatory framework balances both consumer safety and industry sustainability.

“Changes will require affected businesses to update their processes and technologies to ensure that any changes are not only implemented by the required date but also properly enforced.

“As this consultation progresses, operators will need to weigh the implications of adopting these new standards, not least the cost. While the intention is to enhance consumer protection, businesses must carefully assess the operational and financial implications of the proposed changes.

“While the Gambling Commission’s initiative is a positive step in prioritising consumer safety, the real challenge will be ensuring that the proposed regulatory adjustments are manageable for businesses already operating under thin margins.”

Tim Miller, Gambling Commission executive director for research and policy, said: “We recognise that regulatory changes that impact the design of machines can come with considerable costs.

“We are encouraging consumers, gambling businesses and other interested groups to share evidence that will assist us in measuring both the likely regulatory impacts of the proposed changes and the likely costs of implementing them.

“This evidence will be invaluable to helping make a robust assessment on whether the benefits to consumers are proportionate to the costs involved.”

Serbia, ranked 8th in Europe for gambling revenue, continues its rapid expansion with over 2,200 betting shops and a flourishing online gambling sector. Meanwhile, Poland’s well-regulated and mature market is a compelling destination for operators seeking sustainable growth.

Any games that have been approved under its newly recertified license in Malta, are also eligible for inclusion under its Class II license in Romania, upon the successful completion of the ONJN approval process. While this certification eases the path in these markets, local regulators may require additional approvals. Operators are advised to present these certifications to their respective regulatory authorities to ensure seamless compliance.
