Sports & esports betting provider BETER achieved an incredible result — the company has provided betting operators with 7,500 Setka Cup’s sports matches in one month. From January to May 2021, the ratio of matches has grown by 25%.

Setka Cup holds table tennis, tennis, and beach volleyball tournaments, and the first discipline is the most sought-after among betting operators. BETER provides operators with live streaming, live data and odds for 6,500 table tennis matches per month.

During its first year, Setka Cup increased the number of events x5

Setka Cup is an international sports tournaments. The platform was established in 2018 and initially focused only on table tennis tournaments. Setka Cup clearly outlined the concept of tournaments to meet the betting market demands from the very beginning. All matches of the platform are dynamic, engaging, have efficient schedules, and last up to 30 minutes on average.

During its first year, the Setka Cup has accomplished enormous work to expand the number of games. As a result, tournaments have become popular with athletes and fans. For example, in 2019, the number of table tennis matches increased fivefold, from 400 to 2,500. At that time, 450 athletes participated in the tournaments. Organizers have provided comfortable conditions for the training, rest and recovery of the players to avoid sports injuries and professional burn-out. Athletes don’t play more than three days in a row and can’t participate in more than one Setka Cup tournament per day.

In 2020, Setka Cup’s fast table tennis tournaments were already well-known among the local sports community and sportsbooks. Before the pandemic, the Setka Cup was already a well-established quality product. During Covid-19, Setka Cup has only strengthened its position in the market of fast sports content by providing 24/7/365 matches.

“I would say that the pandemic rather highlighted the benefits and relevance of our product in the industry. The demand was there even before. With many partners with whom we began to cooperate in 2020, negotiations had started long before the pandemic,” said Alex Barkar, CEO of BETER.

In 2020 Setka Cup opened a new table tennis arena and increased the number of matches to 5,500 per month. The Setka Cup shows its strong commitment to strict requirements for each table tennis match. The infrastructure of each location complies with the up-to-date international standards, equips all locations with professional table tennis flooring and lighting, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems. In addition, only 2 players and 1 referee can be present in the play area during the game to avoid any possible interruption into the match and final result.

“The launch of the location was a significant step for the Setka Cup. We proved our ability to expand the tournaments and still provide a wide range of quality events with stable access to the content from any place in the world. At that time, I understood that reaching an international level is only a matter of time,” Alex Barkar continued.

New disciplines and international expansion of Setka Cup

In May 2021, Setka Cup opened its first location in the EU (Prague, the Czech Republic) and became an international table tennis platform. It was crucial for the tournaments and just proved that Setka Cup games are popular with foreign sports communities and demanded among sportsbooks worldwide.

Today, the tennis and table tennis tournaments comprise 700 active players and are held at 12 arenas in Prague, Kyiv, Dnipro, and Lviv, with a total area of 3,487 sq. meters. All games are dynamic, last up to 30 minutes on average, and can have up to 20 betting markets. Live analytics and detailed player statistics are also available for each game.

In June 2021, the Setka Cup announced the launch of a new discipline — beach volleyball. More than 150 players, beginners and masters of sports in classic and beach volleyball, have already become tournament participants. The ranking system is the same for table tennis, tennis and volleyball players. All athletes are divided into groups of equal skills, which helps to make the game even more engaging and non-predictable.

The Setka Cup now holds over 7,500 matches in 3 disciplines per month: tennis, table tennis, and beach volleyball. The tournaments are featured on sportsbooks in 150 countries and receive 13 million views per month.

“Now I look back and understand what tremendous work we have done. We started from one small table tennis room with few players and minimum technical equipment, and now the Setka Cup manages 13 rooms for 3 disciplines with 700 players. It is astounding,” Alex Barkar added.

“We are constantly strengthening the position of the Setka Cup as a leading organizer of fast sports tournaments. It also helps betting operators to expand their sportsbook’s offer with high-quality events.”

What Are the Game-Changing Crypto Trends in 2025? Highlights from SOFTSWISS

Bitcoin has shattered records, soaring past €100,000 per coin, marking a pivotal moment in cryptocurrency history. SOFTSWISS, a global tech provider with over 15 years of expertise and a trailblazer in crypto integration for iGaming, unveils the transformative trends set to redefine the digital currency landscape.

According to Statista, the global cryptocurrency market’s revenue is estimated to reach almost €44 billion in 2025, with an expected 861 million users. SOFTSWISS experts spotlight the major forces shaping the crypto future.

How Will Regulation Evolve?

As cryptocurrency adoption grows, experts anticipate global regulations to tighten to address security, transparency, and misuse. Key areas of focus include AML (Anti-Money Laundering), KYC (Know Your Customer), and investor protection, requiring businesses to implement robust compliance measures.

Companies must adapt to diverse regional regulations, such as Europe’s MiCA framework or US oversight by the SEC and CFTC. While compliance increases operational costs, it enhances credibility, fosters trust, and creates opportunities to attract institutional investors and expand into regulated markets, positioning businesses for sustainable growth.

Financial Security with Crypto Investments

Bitcoin’s growing acceptance and institutional interest demonstrate its evolving role as a significant financial asset. With nations like the US exploring its use as a reserve asset, Bitcoin is increasingly seen as a store of value and a hedge against traditional market fluctuations. These trends reinforce its potential as a strategic component in a forward-looking investment portfolio.

Ivan Montik, Founder of SOFTSWISS, comments: “While crypto remains a risky asset, its long-term growth potential and increasing institutional adoption suggest it could be a valuable addition to a diversified retirement portfolio. The key is understanding the asset, investing consistently, and viewing it as a long-term strategy rather than a short-term speculation.”

Consider this strategy based on the past decade: saving €100 per month over ten years would result in €12,000 with little to no return if kept in a bank or at home. However, investing that same €100 monthly in Bitcoin could have transformed those €12,000 into over €120,000. This remarkable growth illustrates Bitcoin’s potential to significantly enhance long-term savings or provide substantial financial security for retirement.

Is Crypto a New Payment Standard?

The era of cryptocurrency as a purely speculative asset has passed. Businesses and consumers now demand real utility, with crypto payments rapidly becoming an industry standard. The adoption curve is evolving – what was once considered an alternative is now a necessity. Seamless, low-cost, and fast transactions are no longer merely advantages; they have become fundamental expectations.

Max Krupyshev, CEO at CoinsPaid, comments: “The shift from holding to spending will be one of the biggest transformations of 2025. At CoinsPaid, we see real businesses using crypto payments every day. It’s not just about holding anymore – it’s about spending. Expect more companies to accept and settle in crypto, making it as easy as using a credit card. And yes, customised tokens are part of this too – they’re fun, they’re liquid, and they work.”

Proprietary Tokens for Player Engagement

An influential trend in iGaming established brands like Rollbit and Shuffle leveraging proprietary tokens to enhance player engagement. These gaming-specific tokens offer benefits like seamless platform integration, reduced volatility, and exclusive perks, driving innovation in payment methods and business growth.

Proprietary tokens allow casinos to create internal ecosystems with unique bonuses and advantages, potentially extending to external partnerships, such as voucher rewards with major brands. This strategy boosts marketing efforts and strengthens player loyalty. However, developing and maintaining a proprietary currency requires significant resources, including a substantial marketing budget to build trust and encourage adoption. These challenges can divert focus from the core mission of delivering quality entertainment and gaming experiences.

The experts summarise: “The crypto industry has always been about pushing boundaries, and 2025 will be the year we stop talking about potential and start seeing real-world utility at scale. This year crypto stops being just an asset class and starts being the backbone of global finance. The focus is shifting to utility, efficiency, and real-world integration, and the companies that adapt will lead the next wave of innovation. The future of payments isn’t coming – it’s already here.”
