Liga FUTVE, the top-flight professional football league of Venezuela, announced that Stats Perform, the sports tech leader in data and AI, will be the competition’s official data partner for the next three years. The wide-ranging deal includes access to Stats Perform’s ISF platform for Liga FUTVE’s scouting function and its Opta and Pressbox Live tools for its media and marketing teams.

The partnership sees Stats Perform’s most detailed live Opta event data collected for every Liga FUTVE fixture. The detailed event data comprises information on over 3000 on-ball events during a game, including accurate ball location data and over 300 different contextual qualifiers, in addition to a wide range of advanced Opta Analytics metrics including Expected Goals, Expected Assists, and a Possessions and Sequences framework.

Opta’s highly detailed event data is now being collected live for eight different top-flight leagues across the CONMEBOL confederation, in addition to the Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana, and Copa Libertadores Femenina club competitions.

As well as the delivery of live feeds and Opta scores and stats widgets, player talent identification teams at all 15 Liga FUTVE clubs gain access to their own ISF platform, containing a live player database of over 700,000 elite global football players, to enhance their domestic and international player scouting operations.

In parallel to the Pro software, Stats Perform’s PressBox Live media tool will enable Liga FUTVE’s journalists and researchers to enhance storytelling and fan engagement across the league’s official digital channels, pre and post-match, as well as live in-game.

Akram Al Matni, President of Liga FUTVE, said: “In securing this partnership with Stats Perform, we have been able to not only provide Venezuelan clubs with Opta data on every domestic player in our competition, which is recognised as the industry leader for data quality, but also provide ISF software for them to monitor overseas leagues using data and video too. We hope this is going to result in major benefits and help each team enhance its daily processes in a highly competitive global marketplace.”

Stats Perform’s Sales Director – Latam, Ignacio Iturraspe, said: “I am delighted to welcome Liga FUTVE to our global stable of league partners. Our world-leading Opta data will be fully utilised to enhance analysis and player recruitment processes, as well as help the league generate new and exciting storylines with fans of Venezuelan football based around the world.”
