NASCAR and nVenue, Bring Groundbreaking Live Probabilities to In-Season Challenge Broadcast for Fans Watching Live Racing

Published

The past month marked a pivotal moment in NASCAR’s push toward innovation as NASCAR and nVenue worked to deliver a new way to watch the race. Using nVenue’s in-race betting product to focus on head-to-head matchups, nVenue’s real-time predictive probabilities for each matchup were integrated into the race broadcast.

NASCAR and nVenue have worked together since 2023 and recently reached a multi-year agreement to extend their partnership. As a data partner, nVenue has built a live betting product that allows fans to bet on hundreds of markets during races. nVenue worked with NASCAR to build out live head-to-head markets for each matchup of the In-Season Challenge.

nVenue integrated its proprietary artificial intelligence and machine learning platform for live sports with the In-Season Challenge broadcasts. The integration kicked off during the opening race of the In-Season Challenge and continued throughout the Challenge, delivering a new level of real-time insight directly into the broadcast experience.

At the same time, fans across the world were able to place bets in real-time on head-to-head driver matchups, stage winners, and dozens of new in-race markets, marking a historic first for the sport.

Behind the scenes, nVenue’s commitment to execution was on full display. Co-Founder and Chief Sports Officer, Bruce Sears, was in the production control room for the opening race, working hand-in-hand with multiple teams and resources required to bring the integration to the air.

“nVenue has been a fantastic data partner. One of the great things about nVenue’s partnership is in addition to the live betting product it has built, nVenue has the ability to turn odds into probabilities that can be shown on live broadcasts to further promote fan engagement. This lined up well with the format of the In-Season Challenge, allowing us to provide fans with a way to follow the live probabilities of each matchup throughout every lap of the race,” said Joe Solosky, NASCAR, Managing Director, Sports Betting.

“nVenue’s real-time predictive probabilities came to life during live NASCAR racing to provide a richer experience of the sport, for fans watching, betting, or both. The nVenue platform meets the incredibly demanding speed and precision required for motorsports, but also sets a new standard for fan engagement and in-race betting. It’s a testament to our team’s unparalleled expertise in bringing such complex, data-driven innovation to market at scale. Innovation has only just begun, and we are excited to continue this work with leagues, media, and sports betting to bring these worlds together for the best experiences in live sports,” said Sears.

With broadcast, betting, and data now converging on race day, this collaboration between NASCAR and nVenue is signaling the future of how fans engage with the sport, one lap at a time.

Ahead of its Daily Fantasy Sports launch, the world’s only multi-series fantasy motorsports gaming platform brings in sports betting, venture capital and motorsport executives hailing from NASCAR, Sharp Alpha and Menlo Ventures

GridRival, the sports betting startup dedicated to motorsports, has bolstered its advisory board with top-tier executive talent from the fields of iGaming, strategic investment and motor racing.

The fastest growing fantasy league game for race fans, which is set to launch its Daily Fantasy Sports offering this summer, welcomes seasoned iGaming investor Lloyd Danzig to its advisory team. Joining Danzig is Joe Solosky, Managing Director of Sports Betting at NASCAR, plus highly experienced tech investor and Menlo Ventures partner Mark Siegel.

“We are delighted to have welcomed Lloyd, Joe and Mark to our team of advisors as we prepare to launch our daily fantasy product,” says GridRival CEO Ross Fruin. “Their collective expertise in motorsports, and respective networks within the iGaming industry, are proving invaluable as we grow and offer greater value to the ever-increasing motorsports fan community.

“Our app, which already boasts 200,000 users, makes motorsport fans’ favorite series more exciting, more engaging, and more social.

“The new additions to our advisory team will allow us to capitalize on the untapped potential of motorsports fans as we move into the real-money gaming space.”

As Managing Partner of venture capital and advisory firm Sharp Alpha Advisors—an early investor in GridRival—Lloyd Danzig has forged a reputation as a thought leader on innovation and investment in the sports betting industry.

“With interest in motorsports at an all-time high and the gaming industry placing a premium on untapped audiences, the opportunity is ripe for an authentic fantasy sports and fan engagement app built specifically for racing fans,” says Danzig. “GridRival finds itself in exactly the right position to capitalize on this inflection point.”

Joe Solosky offers over a decade of experience in sports and sports betting, having worked in executive positions at Sportradar and the New York Yankees before joining NASCAR.

“In my time at NASCAR, I have seen how much the legalization of sports betting and gamifying the race day experience has helped grow the sport and industry overall,” says Solosky.

“GridRival is a platform I have advocated for since my time at Sportradar, and in my capacity now realize its potential to be a market leader to deliver a product to an underserved audience at scale – passionate motorsports bettors worldwide.”

As a partner at one of Silicon Valley’s oldest and most reputable venture capital firms for over a quarter of a century, Mark Siegel offers a wealth of experience on building and raising capital for tech startups.

“GridRival has already done a remarkable job of growing its user base and community,” says Siegel. “With more capital, it can truly take advantage of a category that is very favorable because it is so underserved.”

The GridRival app, launched in 2021, has gained popularity with motorsport fans due to its combination of fantasy league gameplay, detailed performance data, in-depth research tools and social features. It currently offers competitions based on Formula 1 and MotoGP, and this year plans to expand to offer real-money contests across multiple race series.
