IGT PlaySports Launches Trading Advisory Services in Michigan with Lac Vieux Desert Northern Waters Casino & Resort

International Game Technology announced that its IGT PlaySports Trading Advisory Services Team is now supporting sports betting in Michigan via a new services agreement with the Lac Vieux Desert Northern Waters Casino & Resort in Watersmeet. In addition to now leveraging IGT PlaySports’ expertise for a range of trading-related services, Northern Waters has powered its sportsbook with IGT’s award-winning platform and self-service betting technology since 2021.

“IGT PlaySports is Northern Waters’s ideal technology and services partner as we roll out the next era of sports betting entertainment to our customers. IGT PlaySports’ comprehensive, turnkey solution has streamlined our sportsbooks operations and positioned us to more keenly focus on our guests and ensure they have the best possible fan experience,” said John McGeshick, General Manager of Lac Vieux Desert Northern Waters Casino & Resort.

“The IGT PlaySports team is excited to expand our relationship with Northern Waters to include trading advisory services. In servicing 36 sportsbooks across North America, the IGT Trading Advisory Team is adept at helping operators maximize the returns of their sports betting offerings while enhancing player loyalty and engagement,” Joe Asher, IGT President of Sports Betting, said.

As part of Northern Waters’ sportsbook enhancements, the casino plans to deploy IGT’s PeakBarTop cabinets with Total Gaming software. The award-winning hardware boasts a player-preferred, ergonomic design and gives players the option to enjoy Game King video poker, slots, keno, and sports betting from a single device and a single gaming wallet.

International Game Technology PLC announced that its subsidiary, IGT Global Solutions Corporation, has extended its contracts with the Mississippi Lottery Corporation for an additional three years to continue providing online gaming systems and instant ticket services through Dec. 1, 2029. As part of the agreements, IGT will deploy a mobile convenience app, new GameTouch 28 self-service terminals and its Sales Wizard retail automation tool.

“When launching the Mississippi Lottery in 2019, we relied on IGT’s expertise to guide us in driving player engagement across draw-based and instant ticket games, and in realizing our growth targets. After almost five very successful years, we continue working with IGT to enhance our operations and deliver quality entertainment to our players. The Mississippi Lottery is excited to introduce IGT’s new products for added player convenience and install the Sales Wizard tool so that we can leverage actionable insights to identify incremental lottery retail opportunities,” Jeff Hewitt, President of Mississippi Lottery Corporation, said.

“Since the Mississippi Lottery’s inception, IGT has applied our deeply rooted proficiency of industry best practices to help the Lottery continuously exceed its sales objectives, year after year. Once available, the Mississippi Lottery’s mobile app will provide players a multitude of convenience features, including the ability to view winning numbers, check for winning tickets, create digital playslips, find retailers, access game information, and review responsible gaming materials. In addition to the 300 GameTouch 28 self-service terminals already installed throughout the State, IGT will deploy new GameTouch 28 machines, enabling dynamic user experiences that will further engage Mississippi Lottery players and provide increased flexibility. IGT’s Sales Wizard is the industry-leading sales force automation tool that will offer the Lottery’s sales teams with timely, comprehensive reports providing insights on sales, instant ticket inventory, instant ticket facings, and point-of-sale equipment and signage.

Further to IGT’s role as a lottery products and services provider, the Company is aligned with the Mississippi Lottery’s goals of funding educational opportunities throughout the state. As part of its After School Advantage program, IGT plans to open more digital technology labs in Mississippi, in addition to the six labs that IGT has already funded in the State since 2019. IGT will also continue its annual scholarship contribution that benefits students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities in Mississippi.

International Game Technology PLC announced that its new multi-level progressive (MLP) game, Tiger and Dragon, recently debuted on casino floors across the US. Available on the sleek PeakCurve49 cabinet, Tiger and Dragon combines new and proven mechanics with high bonus frequencies for an action-packed entertainment experience.

IGT and Acres to Resolve All Pending Litigation

International Game Technology (IGT) and Acres 4.0, Acres Manufacturing Company, and John Acres (Acres) announced that effective April 12, 2024, they have reached an agreement to resolve all legal disputes between the two companies. Terms of the settlement have not been announced.

The resolution was reached in the US District Court of Nevada, directed to US patents that pertain to facilitating use of a financial transaction device in a cashless wagering system in a gaming system, and Nevada State Court directed to a breach of contract claims.

“IGT is pleased to reach a mutual agreement with Acres that resolves all disputes between us. This allows us to dedicate our collective resources where they are better served, driving continued innovation in the exciting and evolving cashless gaming space,” said Nick Khin, IGT COO Gaming.

“We are thrilled to put this matter behind us and work cooperatively with IGT to build exciting new gambling experiences that can increase both player enjoyment and casino profits,” John Acres, CEO of Acres, said.
