STS Holding Reports Slight Revenue Increase for the First Half of 2022
STS Holding has published its financial results for the first half of 2022. The company has generated NGR of over PLN 296 million in the first half of 2022, compared to nearly PLN 296 million last year. From January to June 2022, the value of bets concluded by the clients of the STS Group amounted to PLN 2.189 billion, compared to PLN 2.222 billion last year. Only in the second quarter of this year, the value of bets was higher than in the first quarter of this year and in the second quarter of the last year.
In the second quarter of 2022, the number of active users amounted to 375 thousand. From April to June this year, the Group acquired 92,000 new registrations, with 66,000 customers who made the first deposit.
“In the first half of this year, we achieved very good operating results. We have slightly improved NGR – the value of amounts staked by the customers, less the winnings paid and gambling and lottery tax – compared to the same period last year. It is worth noting that in 2021, the EURO 2020 was played in that period. In the second half of this year, we hope that the very attractive calendar of sports events and the World Championships in Qatar will allow us to develop even better operating indicators, which will also positively translate into financial results,” Mateusz Juroszek, President of the Management Board of STS Holding, said.
From January to March this year, the Group generated PLN 158 million of NGR, which was a record level on a quarterly basis. This means an increase of 15% y-o-y. Adjusted EBITDA in the first quarter of this year amounted to PLN 72 million, compared to PLN 61 million a year before. There was a year-on-year increase by 17%. In Q1 2022, the revenue of the STS Group amounted to PLN 142 million, as compared to PLN 125 million in Q1 2021, which represented a year-on-year increase of 14%. In Q1 2022, STS S.A. – the main operating company of the STS Group – achieved a net result of as much as PLN 59 million, which means an increase by 24% year-on-year.
