Twitch Slots Category Sets Two New Records in April

Online streaming platform Twitch has been the go-to platform for streaming games for quite some time now. However, what many don’t realise is that the site isn’t just popular with gamers streaming popular titles like Fortnite or Call of Duty.

Twitch is also hugely popular with online casino players who often live stream their gameplay and share their tactics to thousands of followers at a time.

In fact, a recent study of Twitch slots data for April by newcasinosites.co has revealed that of the 250 billion minutes viewed so far in 2021, almost 22 million hours were viewers watching slots.

Twitch viewers have consumed over 250 billion minutes of video so far in 2021 with an average of 15 million viewers that visit the platform daily. And a recent analysis of Twitch slots data by newcasinosites.co has revealed that of that huge figure, an impressive 21.9 million hours were viewers watching slots channels.

That was just one of two records set in the Twitch slots category in April.

  • 21,953,615 — the number of hours watched by viewers in the slots category in April. This was the highest number since December 2018 and up 18.8% on April 2020.
  • 120,067 — the hours streamed in the slot category. An all-time high since the category was created.

Some highlights from the study include:

  • 5,177 — the number of casino players that streamed in the slots category in April.
  • 17th — the slots was the 17th most popular category jumping 3 spots in the last week of the month.
  • 166 — the average number of slots channels streaming at any one time.
  • 30,553 — the average number of viewers watching slots channels during the month.
  • 181,881 — the peak number of viewers marking a 149% rise on the same period in 2020.
  • 6,464 — the lowest number of viewers for the month on Saturday 10th April.
  • 274 — the number of hours top streamer ROSHTEIN streamed during April.
  • 99 — the lowest number of slots channels streaming for the month on Thursday April 1st.
  • 268 — the highest number of slots streaming for the month on Friday April 9th.
  • 38.25 — the lowest viewer to streamer ratio on Saturday 10th April.
  • 1,150.71 — the highest viewer to streamer ratio on Friday April 30th.
