Mobile Slots developers gearing up for US legalization

Published

Although the United States is quite rightly known as the land of opportunity, the fact is that the nation remains home to some conservative attitudes and laws that reflect this.

Online gambling, in particular, has had something of a raw deal in the US down the years. Indeed, the activity is only permitted in the states of Delaware, Iowa, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Nevada.

Conversely, online gambling is entirely legal in other nations and remains a considerable source of income for many. Players all over the world are heading over to sites like Fruity King to play some seriously exciting mobile slots games.

In recent times, there has been talk around loosening gambling laws in the US, with many states pushing for a move toward modern legislation. With gambling in the US thought to be worth $160 billion per year, there is understandably a lot of buzz around the idea of this opening up.

Mobile slots developers are waiting in the wings for the legalization of online gambling in the US. Indeed, the move could spawn a massive shift in the business and could potentially unlock billions of dollars in revenue.

In this article, we will look at the ways in which mobile slots developers are gearing up for US legalization. We will assess the current state of online gambling laws in the US as well as how any potential changes might look.

The current legal situation with online slots in the USA

In the United States, the federal wire act is the law that ensures most types of betting are illegal.

However, in recent years, the Supreme Court has overturned previous decisions made under the act that declared certain forms of gambling illegal.

As a result, more and more mobile slots developers have gained hope that change might be about to come to the US gambling industry. Indeed, with gambling worth so much, it is a shock that the US government has not already decided to tax the industry and make some serious revenue from it.

With that said, there has not yet been any clear action taken toward legalizing gambling on a large scale in the United States.

The potential legalization of mobile slots in the US

So, there are many hopeful parties within the US looking toward potential legalization in the near future.

As we have mentioned, the economic incentives to the nation could be huge, particularly with respect to the downturn that will inevitably follow the coronavirus.

Unemployment has been a hot button issue in the US in recent years. If gambling is legalized in one or more aspects, then it is sure that there will be many thousands of jobs created across the nation.

With gambling already generating so much in illegal circles, surely the US government will decide to reign in this income and use the enormous tax revenue to bolster that nation.
