IGT Wheel of Fortune and Megabucks Slots Deliver Three Jackpots Totaling Over $14 M in October

International Game Technology PLC (IGT) announced that its Wheel of Fortune and Megabucks slots awarded three momentous jackpots in October.

Lucky slots players won the following jackpots last month:

  • On October 4, a Wheel of Fortune slots player won $1,195,960 playing Wheel of Fortune High Roller at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel in Highland, Calif.
  • On October 18, a Megabucks slots player won $12,185,766 playing Megabucks Spitfire Multipliers Triple Red Hot 7s at Excalibur Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.
  • On October 21, a Wheel of Fortune slots player won $1,384,493 playing Wheel of Fortune Gold Spin Triple Red Hot 7s at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.

The $12.1 million plus Megabucks jackpot marks the franchise’s fourth jackpot of over $10 million this year in Nevada. On August 8, a Megabucks slots player won $10,159,321 playing Megabucks Gold Forge at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. On July 7, a Megabucks slots player won $10,488,726 playing Megabucks Double Diamond Deluxe at Cannery Casino in North Las Vegas. On April 2, a Megabucks slots player won $14,005,833 playing Megabucks Mega Vault at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno.

Wheel of Fortune slots have minted over 1100 millionaires and awarded over $3.5 billion in jackpots since their launch in 1996.

IGT Awarded Contract for VLT Central Monitoring System by Ohio Lottery Commission

International Game Technology PLC (IGT) announced that it has won a competitive bidding process to provide the Ohio Lottery Commission’s video lottery terminal (VLT) central monitoring system, with a contract effective May 31, 2024 through June 30, 2033. The agreement includes an option for Ohio to renew the contract for up to two additional one-year terms.

Under the terms of the agreement, IGT will provide its advanced Intelligen central monitoring system hardware and software, with continual monitoring and support for more than 10,000 video lottery terminal machines distributed throughout seven racinos across Ohio: Belterra Park Cincinnati, Eldorado Scioto Downs, Jack Thistledown Racino, Hollywood Gaming Dayton Raceway, Hollywood Gaming Mahoning Valley Race Course, MGM Northfield Park, and Miami Valley Gaming.

“We look forward to providing IGT’s leading VLT products and solutions to the Ohio Lottery Commission. International Game Technology PLC (IGT) announced that its Tiger and Dragon multi-level progressive (MLP) game debuted in the number-one position on Eilers & Krejcik’s May 2024 US & Canada Game Performance Report in the “Top Indexing NEW Games – Premium Leased & WAP” category. Tiger and Dragon Cash on Reels took the top position by performing at more than 2.8X zone average and Tiger and Dragon Multipliers ranked third for performing at more than 2.5X zone average.

IGT and Acres to Resolve All Pending Litigation

International Game Technology (IGT) and Acres 4.0, Acres Manufacturing Company, and John Acres (Acres) announced that effective April 12, 2024, they have reached an agreement to resolve all legal disputes between the two companies. Terms of the settlement have not been announced.

The resolution was reached in the US District Court of Nevada, directed to US patents that pertain to facilitating use of a financial transaction device in a cashless wagering system in a gaming system, and Nevada State Court directed to a breach of contract claims.

“IGT is pleased to reach a mutual agreement with Acres that resolves all disputes between us. This allows us to dedicate our collective resources where they are better served, driving continued innovation in the exciting and evolving cashless gaming space,” said Nick Khin, IGT COO Gaming.

“We are thrilled to put this matter behind us and work cooperatively with IGT to build exciting new gambling experiences that can increase both player enjoyment and casino profits,” John Acres, CEO of Acres, said.
