Parimatch and Fnatic Team Up in Global Esports Entertainment Partnership

Parimatch, the global technology and betting company, today announced the launch of a two-year global partnership with Fnatic, a leading esports organization that has won more than 200 championships across 30 different games in the past decade.

“This partnership with Fnatic is another example of Parimatch strengthening ties with the international esports community, but it is the first time we can call ourselves partners of a truly global and legendary brand with more than 15 years of history,” says Stepan Shulga, Head of Esports at Parimatch. “This year has been hugely challenging for the world of sport, and at Parimatch we have focused on seizing opportunities whilst maintaining our strategy of promoting esports and sports as two champions of the entertainment industry, with audiences that have similar passions and interests. Parimatch will become the official betting partner of Fnatic’s CS:GO team, joining the ranks of some of the world’s most famous brands that have collaborated with Fnatic. Through this partnership, Parimatch branding will appear on the official Fnatic CS:GO team uniforms, and be displayed throughout events where the team is playing.

Established in 2004, Fnatic has evolved beyond its team origins into an entertainment channel that amplifies gamers and creators. The company connects with the millennial audience through its partnerships with forward-thinking brands and by providing content, experiences and activations. Together, Fnatic and Parimatch will collaborate to create unique content for social media and YouTube, reaching a combined audience of over 15 million esports fans across the world.

Parimatch also partners with esports content creators and video game providers such as Dota2, and has teamed up with ESforce Holding to host three seasons of Dota2 Parimatch League. The tournament, which has had a prize pool of $300,000, has provided the opportunity for young players to build their profile, reinforcing Parimatch’s commitment to developing the esports community. Today, the Fnatic team is due to play against Faze in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Abios Welcomes Rasmus Schmidt Christensen as New Head of Odds Operations

Abios, a global leader in esports data and odds provision, has appointed Rasmus Schmidt Christensen, formerly of Danish operator Danske Spil, as the company’s new Head of Odds Operations.

With a background in betting analytics, Schmidt Christensen is a seasoned industry veteran with a wealth of experience in esports and sports betting, spending nearly eight years improving the esports vertical at Danske Spil. Beginning his industry journey as a sports trader at the Danish betting operator, Schmidt Christensen gradually assumed more responsibility over the esports segment, ultimately taking charge of the vertical as an Esports Product Specialist.

The role allowed him to work closely with product, marketing and customer-focused teams, creating a comprehensive esports strategy for the operator. He used customer feedback to ensure the product met customer demands and ensured Danske Spil offered innovative product features early on, including player propositions.

As Head of Odds Operations, a newly created role at Abios, Schmidt Christensen will strengthen the Abios team by providing expertise in esports from Denmark, which has long been the home of Counter-Strike. Combining his knowledge of what esports fans want and product development, he will act as a bridge between trading and Abios’ automated odds setting, creating the ultimate end product for end users.

Global esports organisation Gen.G Esports has announced a partnership with LG U+. The partnership comes on the heels of the two companies’ first collaboration to celebrate the 2023 LoL World Championship. The two companies will work closely together to strengthen fandom and innovate the customer experience. As part of the partnership, Gen.G Esports’ League of Legends pro team will feature the LG U+’s logo on their jerseys during the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Summer season.
