How to Protect Yourself While Gambling

Published

on

There are many people who enjoy heading on to online gambling platforms to play different games or place bets. You might enjoy it but then, in the back of your mind, have lingering concerns about how safe it is to be playing such online games. It is normal to feel like this as the more we begin to rely on technology, and it seems, the more threats we face on a daily basis. If you want to know how you can effectively protect yourself and all of your information while playing online gambling games, you are in the right place, as this will be discussed in more detail below.

Use a Reputable Online Gambling Website

If you want to stay safe when you are online gambling, then all of this begins with the website that you are using. There is a massive array of choices out there when it comes to picking an online casino, and as such, you’re going to want to make sure that you are heading over to a secure online casino where all of your data and money will be safe when playing. This is going to make it so that you are a lot safer when you are gaming, meaning you can rest easy when playing on the different games available.

Consider Secure Login Methods

You should make sure that the website you are going to use comes with secure methods of being able to log in to your account. A lot of sites now allow you to even use two-factor authentication, which makes things even more secure. They are able to stop people from getting access to your account through brute force attacks because, in order to log in, you will need to enter some kind of code that will be emailed or texted to you.

You should also make sure that the only gambling websites you use are ones that come with a valid SSL certificate. This will make it so that you easily differentiate from phishing websites that are simply trying to steal all of your information and legitimate online gaming or gambling platforms. This is because you can very easily tell whether or not a site has a valid SSL by having a look for the green “https” strip that you usually find in the address bar.

Avoid Unsolicited Emails

One of the more popular forms of online attack comes in the form of phishing emails. These are often used to target unsuspecting gamers and gamblers, and they have an alarming success rate as well. If you receive a random email that you are not expecting, which is asking you to click on a link and saying that you only have a limited amount of time to do so, then chances are you are about to click on a phishing link that will try and take all of your personal information. If you receive one of these emails, then don’t give it a second thought. Simply send it straight to your spam folder.

Incentive Games, a leading B2B games provider, is proud to announce that it has been awarded an Ontario Gaming License by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), effective today. This achievement enables the company to offer its portfolio of real-money games to licensed operators and players across the province.

The license underscores the Incentive Games’ commitment to meeting the highest standards of compliance, security, and operational excellence. The rigorous application process demands robust security protocols and comprehensive responsible gaming measures and affirms the company’s readiness to enter one of Canada’s most dynamic iGaming markets.

The North American market is a strategic focus for Incentive Games, and this milestone follows closely on the heels of the company receiving its Provisional Michigan gaming licence from the Michigan Gaming Control Board earlier this month.

Incentive Games will distribute its real-money gaming content in Ontario through Incentive Studios, the company’s dedicated Real-Money Gaming division, ensuring a focused and tailored approach to the market.

“Ontario represents a huge opportunity for us, and securing this license is a proud moment for the whole team,” said John Gordon, Chief Executive Officer at Incentive Games. “It reinforces our dedication to meeting the highest standards while delivering compelling real-money content. We’re looking forward to building strong relationships in the region and continuing our momentum across regulated markets worldwide.”
