Relax Gaming, an online gaming platform which emphasises on modern, instant-play gaming has nailed down a content partnership deal with Pomadorro, the multi-brand casino operator. In view of this, Relax will initially supply its new table games to Pomadorro’s various brands, including Casino X and Joy Casino.

Blackjack and roulette will now go live across the Pomadorro sites, with further games from Relax to be added in the near future.

As stated by a Pomadorro spokesman: “Table games have always been a staple of our online casino offering, with players continuing to support them across our various brands, so to integrate Relax’s new titles will be a significant boost to our portfolio.”

Patrik Österåker, the Chief Executive of Relax, added: “We’ve positioned our content at a competitive price point to kick-start partnerships with major operators like Pomadorro. With further content to be rolled-out to their casinos in the coming months, we expect to see robust growth together on the back of it.”

Italy nabs online gambling mafia crewReading Time: 1 minute

The Italian police have arrested 68 men in connection with the running of massive online betting racket after an international combing operation, which involved more than 800 police personnel. The police seised assets worth more than €1bn worth of assets. The mafia’s operation was spread over 12 countries.

The groups arrested had been making deals with businesses in the online betting world, providing them with facilities to recycle large quantities of money through illegal parallel circuits on betting platforms in exchange for promotion and protection.

Some of those who had been arrested own Rolex watches and Ferraris and used to eat in posh restaurants and indulge in gambling in Las Vegas.

Federico Cafiero de Raho, the Police Unit’s Head, commented: “We can see from ongoing investigations how the mafias work together in different sectors. We still need to establish whether there is a fixed leadership or if the deals change depending on the territories involved.”

Goods and cash were apprehended in Albania, Austria, Great Britain, Germany, the Isle of Man, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Romania, Serbia, the Seychelles and Switzerland.

Kindred Futures Challenges Voice Driven BettingReading Time: 2 minutes

Kindred Futures, the innovation arm of Kindred Group, has launched the first-of-its-kind prototype for voice-driven betting.

The prototype is built in partnership with tech start-up Artificial Solutions. It makes use of the tweaked Google Action to facilitate voice betting on six top European football leagues & competitions. It provides a hassle-free betting experience and has the potential to redefine the way the users bet in the future. “Google was a great foundation for us thanks to its years as a search engine, meaning it had a wealth of data on a broad range of topics that its speech recognition understood. But despite this, it still required many hours of tuning and training to build the recognition of nuanced betting terminology and phrases” says Michael Franklin, Natural Language Lead at Kindred Futures.

The prototype was developed after 80 hours of extensive testing, during which more than 9,000 betting phrases were inputted to find out betting terms were understood and what were missed. Mark Jones, Head of Presales at Artificial Solutions said: “Speech recognition has made massive leaps over the last few years, and it’s now reached that tipping point where it’s good enough to be used to explore the future of voice-activated betting. This pioneering conversational AI application means Kindred Futures is in the perfect position to exploit voice technology moving forward.”

Will Mace, Head of Kindred Futures describes the project as “an experiment to see whether the technology was at a level or standard to cope with the nuance of sports betting.” He continues: “Delivering great experiences for our customers is at the forefront of what we do, making the best use of cutting-edge technology to deliver the products and services they want, or may require in the future.”

The product is in prototype mode now. When it is fully developed, it can be plugged into smart personal assistants like Alexa, Siri, and Cortana.
